A group of crows is called a murder of crows - really (not a joke) - In a way, it is a fitting name considering that a group of crows can outmaneuver, and outperform an owl, and can even take the life of an owl, if the group gets a sense that the owl is after the younger ones (though owls, in general, are stronger than crows). By the way, there was a Cuba Gooding Jr movie that came out in 1998 titled, "A Murder of Crows".
