Penny-Farthing - First machine to be called a bicycle. Quite popular in the 1870-1880s, gradually dying out replaced by next generation bicycle that aligned more with the traditional ones.

The major selling point for the second gen bicycle was its safety, just for the fact that the wheels were normal sized unlike Penny-Farthing.
